FUN FACT- DECEMBER 2021

SingleCut is not just about great beer, we care about sustainability as well which is why we use and partner with PakTech.  PakTech products are made from 100% recycled HDPE, in turn makes them 100% recyclable into products such as composite lumber, flower pots, pipe, park benches, and more PakTech products. We use their products to hold our 4-pks together for easy transport and  have partnered with their recycling program to ensure as many of their handles are recycled and repurposed as possible.

Additionally, although the plastic bag ban has been in effect in NYS for quite some time, there are still plastic bags floating around in the community begging to be recycled.  No. 4 plastic, otherwise known as low-density polyethylene (LDPE), is the same plastic used in shopping bags, dry cleaning bags, films, cling wrap, and all other forms of lightweight plastic. It is not generally recycled, or at least it wasn’t until some years ago. Unfortunately, as the plastic pollution problem increases, recycling as many of these disposable plastics as we can becomes an absolute necessity.

There are several ways to recycle No. 4 plastics. In the case of plastic bags, reusing them around your home is honestly a good bet. But if you don’t have a use for them yourself, you can bring your clean No. 4 plastic bags to your nearest SingleCut Tap Room and we will recycle them for you – easy as an ERIC More Cowbell! Chocolate Milk Stout on a cold, winter day.
