Meet Ashley Roche, Sales Director for Team SingleCut.  This Q&A will give you a peak inside one of the key Beersmiths behind the distribution of SingleCut including Ashley’s career progression within SingleCut, the reason for her love behind the brand and what she hopes to see as part of SingleCut future.

What is your role at SingleCut?
-Sales Director

How did you first learn about SingleCut?
-I was a young sales rep for a different brewery and noticed a DARL (Does Anybody Remember Laughter) bottle on the shelf next to me at the (very much missed) LES Malt & Mold location, where I was doing a tasting. After picking up that bottle, touching the tactile label, and figuring out the musical reference, for 3 hours in between pouring samples- I had to take one home, with some deliciously weird cheeses, as well, of course. The rest is history.

If you could pick one music genre that fits your personality, what would it be?
– It’d be a new genre that lands somewhere between Riot Grrl & Doom Metal

What are your hobbies/interests?
-Biking, Snowboarding, live music, yoga, cooking, skincare, eating broccoli

If you could change rolls for a day at SingleCut, what position would it be?
-I’m quite fond of the packaging line, but also always pleading to be forklift certified.

What advice do you have for prospective candidates?
-Be willing to learn and be coachable. Regardless of the position. We’re all a work in progress, and good communication is invaluable.

What are 3 words to describe your workday?
-Sell SELL sElL!

What do you find the most challenging at SingleCut?
-The bathroom next to the loading dock/taproom is really cold in the morning in the winter.

What do you like most about SingleCut?
-The encouragement for growth and upward mobility

What drew you to SingleCut originally? And how has SingleCut changed since?
-The music connection, that hasn’t changed! What has changed is the organization (for the better!)

What has been your favorite project at SingleCut?
-Building a sales team

What is on your wish list for the next 10 years SingleCut?
-To exclusively brew Dunkles, all year long. Only Dunkles. Dunkle for everyone!

What is your favorite part about leading the Sales Department?
-The problem solving and creativity – I’m never bored!

What is your proudest moment at SingleCut?
-When I walked into a general sales meeting at our wholesalers’ warehouse in Massachusetts, with 37 backpacks hanging from my arms.
