We were relentless in our search for the very difficult to source rum barrel, which we feel is the best vessel for aging beer. Well, our diligence was rewarded with the delivery of 30 barrels imported direct from Jamaica, seen above in our Tasting Room.
These barrels originated from Jack Daniels, from where they were then imported to Jamaica. 20 years later they’re back on these shores and in our brewery.
We’ll be aging our “RUDY” Double-ümlaut Lagrrr! in them for 4 months. We hope to have this very special beer ready by end of Winter. – Rich
